Refund policy

Note: This policy is still under legal review before launch. Its substance already applies as described here.

Bivako sells digital PDF exports — one-off purchases, no subscription. The table below explains when you're entitled to a refund.

Tier 1 — Technical faults on Bivako's side

Tier 1 — Technical faults: refund details
When
  • Export fails although payment succeeded
  • The downloaded PDF is empty or corrupt
  • Double charge for the same export
  • Wrong format or page count caused by a bug
HowEmail bivako-support@fari-software.de with your order number (from the LemonSqueezy confirmation email) and a short description of the fault. We refund within 5 business days.

Tier 2 — Data quality

Tier 2 — Data quality: refund details
WhenPOI data (water sources, shelters, etc.) is incomplete, outdated or wrong in the exported PDF — typically because the underlying OpenStreetMap data hasn't been updated yet.
Why no entitlementBivako shows OpenStreetMap data "as is" without warranty of completeness or currency. This disclaimer is visible before every export.
HowYou can still write to us at bivako-support@fari-software.de — we review every case and decide goodwill case by case.

Tier 3 — EU right of withdrawal

Tier 3 — EU right of withdrawal: refund details
Legal basis§ 356 (5) German Civil Code (BGB): the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content lapses as soon as the consumer expressly consents to immediate provision and confirms that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.
At checkoutBefore payment, Bivako shows a mandatory notice with a checkbox. Without consent, the purchase cannot proceed. The right of withdrawal is thereby excluded in line with the law.
